I wear full neoprane braces on both knees these days. I certainly wish that I'd done more preventative maintenance when I was younger. Weight work (squats in particular) would have helped overall strength in the knee. (In fact, I wish I'd done more preventative maintenance on ALL my body parts when I was younger. Warm up fully & STRETCH AFTER YOU PLAY kids! You'll be thankful you did when you reach your 30's.)
If I don't wear the braces while playing indoor, I can barely walk for the next coupla days. With them, I have no pain at all either during play or afterwards.
I've tried the small strap thing that was pictured above but it's not effective for me. I need the full compression. |
