do body-weight and jump squats to get your legs pumped and the blood flowing befor the game
Some mild to hard peppering around before the game should also get your shoulders and arms ready to go.
I'm short at 5'8 but I can get up there..however, without proper stretching and warm up, I'm as cold as ice and can't move or jump at all.
I've got some older people on my team and it pisses me off when they don't take the initiative to get to games early - it's why we usually start off piss-poor
