Down with the 6-2!! - 03-05-2007, 11:46 PM

I just finished a tourney with a 6-2 and let me say, I am not in favor of it at all!

In yankee, you have a specific rating and a specific number of points to play with when forming a team. If you are a good setter, and a good hitter, you have a good rating. If you are only good at one, you're rating is probably lower. That said, I'd rather blow my points on ONE GOOD SETTER and then use other points on a good hitter instead of getting two alright guys.

Another thing was, I had to keep remembering who my setter was in specific rotations. Was setter A going to be flashing me signs? Wait, we rotated, sheet, setter B is giving me signs. Did I miss it? Wait, was it setter A who liked to run 1s? Crap!

I'm sure if I played with this team all the time, it would have been better but it still doesn't negate the fact that we could have had more firepower in the lineup if we had gotten a stronger hitter instead of a second setter.

There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.
