Three people serve receive (or four with two people covering a step behind the 10 and up). If there are problems with communication than people don't know who the primary passers are. The libero is the primary passer so he should be put toward the center of the court. If a ball is served in between two people (one bing the libero) than it is the libero's ball.

Your serve receive all depends on the server. Lobs... You could have one receiver. If you have a server who it going to serve spots then the more people passing the less 'spots' to serve. And a hard jump server I would want three receivers with another person covering the ball that will roll over the tape.
