Having your best passer being on the opposite side of the server is also beneficial. If you have someone who can cover the court they will see the ball that much better and have the ability to pass more balls. As a libro, I prefered most to be in a 2 man and passing from the right side. You start adding more people into the mix it can get confusing.

Per VolleyballStud's comment, as a USAV Libro for 4 years I find that comment a little unfounded. The teams that succeeded and did well usually had a strong Libro to go along with strong hitters. The libro should be passing a majority of the balls and if that's the case they have to be pretty $Money$ if their team was going to have a chance to succeed.
