A problem with bump setting indoors - is your trying to get one blocker on your hitters. Outdoors your guarenteed only one blocker at most. It's hard for a team to think your going backwards on a bump set - it also slows down your offense.

Very few serves at the level Ty plays at can you... 'walk' too... I've seen him play - and it's not that he's looking to dive it's what happens because it needs to be done.


Also - it seems like it could be a beneficial idea. Those patella straps can give you nasty brusies if you land on them. I often dive forward or drop to my knees to help set since I never want to bump a ball.
