I saw a guy at a tournament this weekend who had a system that was strapped above and below his knee cap and solid behind (I think). My guess is that's probably pretty supportive and would offer some level of protection to the side of your knees impact wise.
I know I usually get banged up either right above my knee cap or on the inside (I can't quit my old goalie instincts, I still lay my lower leg on the floor when digging or passing a low ball). I don't know where you guys get bruised but for me it's rarely right on the cap. |
