The timing is the toughest thing to do... at least I think so. You need to act like you are hitting a one which will either pull over the other teams OH and Opp for a triple and then once the ball is in the setters hands you start your slide approach. (since I am a righty I would start my apporoach with my left leg behind, go left... right... then instead of going together I would cross infront of me right leg with my left leg and explode to the slide set with another right and then a left and then you are up on the air off of one foot... then seeing where the block is set up... if there is one depends on when you swing line or cross. Also the attacker should be chasing the set not waiting for it.)

I think this is something that is often over looked. If your middle runs a slide you are crossing blockers... this means that either the OH will be blocking the middle from getting out and blocking the slide or the OH and Middle will both move to block the side which leaves NO block in the middle which results in an easier swing for either the OH or the Opp.

The video that was talked about earlier in this thread is a great example of what I am talking about. (I think it is in the VBLI video section as well) The blocking OH is pupped cuz he thinks he is going to block a middle attack or a stack but then the second person in the stack goes out for a slide... which results in a kill.

I am not a middle so if I am wrong please correct me.
