Why would Phil even need to jump??? He's so tall I thought he was standing when he was sitting.

^ everything is very true and it's all strategies, but I'm not here to convince anyone to change. Acually I wouldn't.

If any person is blocking 6 feet off the net it's not a block...You can make a blocking motion, heck you can even make that 15 feet off the net. Drifting forward will only net you...

That's right, the height of your vertical should not be affected by standing next to the net. That's why if you need to jump straight up right there, it's always lower than having a little approach. Wait a minute, unless you're one of those people's who's approach doesn't increase vertical. I'm pretty sure that most poeple increase their vertical with an approach technique.

Let me regurgitate that I'm talking about positioning and the mobility advantage that comes with it. It's easy to see player tendencies with a blocker right up next to the net. Very high probability that they're gonna block becuase they're good blockers. Very little chance that they will pull off the net with a good set because they're good blockers. Player tendencies, you don't need to read that from a mile away, you just have to know your opponents.

I do believe any good player will adjust, unless it's not in their repetoire. If a person is too slow to pick up the roll shot, move faster or sooner. If a person is already moving as fast as they can, then maybe they should move sooner? I personally would choose a better position, a few feet off the net. Sometimes it takes only one step to make a difference. If the sheer volume of disagreement is so, then keep to your tendencies. Afterall good partnerships depends on knowing your partner's strategies.

The only thing I'm getting from all the disagreement is selective infromation processing. Reading skills...Did I misread something?

Me eat meat in team.
