Yelling already?
I'm no setter...
* Your feet should not be firmly placed, but better to say on the balls of your feet or toes as opposed to having the heels on the floor.
* Six to eight inches apart is a big setting window. I've got pretty small hands and I've got my fingers about two/three inches apart only, sometimes even barely touching.
* I don't roll the ball on my fingers, that's just poor ball contact. If I rolled the ball without very fast hand speed, that means the ball came to rest and got redirected - lift.
* Superhero takeoff. Don't bother trying to conceal the back set, in fact exaggerate it. Big arch in back. Arms straighten out after ball released. Everything straing on that imaginary line, 90 degrees perpedicular to the shoulders.
