Set a basketball against the wall. It's heavier than a volleyball and will help develop and strengthen your wrists and your fingers as well as get a better "feel" for the ball. A few low ones just overhead to get warmed up, then try pushing it up higher on the wall. When you do the high ones, try to keep pushing it to the same spot on the wall. When your hands contact the ball, position yourself and visualize as if you almost want the basketball to hit you in the forehead each time. Good setters have great footwork and this will help you with this.
