I don't think there is any magic to starting a club team other than getting people and money. If you're looking to play in competitive tournaments, you're in the outskirts of the Yankee Region of USAV volleyball and not too far from NERVA. I'm sure others can tell you more about it.

I'd PM NewEnglandRT for more information since he is starting up Random Volleyball Club (RVC) and he can share some of his experiences with you.

If you're looking to start a volleyball club at your school, that's a different story and you may want to approach your student union. I'm sure they have rules and a well documented approval process that can help you.
