I really have other stuff to do but I just hadddd to reply. First off, Manzi, I'm disappointed... But now I will try to defend a bit of what you say and not some and give a few points.

First, It's totally the coach who sucks and not that their gender really has much to do. If I were coaching you, you would definitely be doing a ton of fitness related stuff as well as vball. And those who were only interested in playing the vball and not the training would be doing a lot of sitting come game time. That's a coaching error on her part but I agree that probably that has a lot to do with experience. At high school and some college levels, mens and womans are a completely different game. And if she is using her womans training to coach a mens team, then there is an issue. (Oh yeah, By the way at a college level its the coaches job to win. That include running a fitness reg, for their players. So yes it is the coaches responsibility to make sure the players are running, lifting, doing plyos not the players.)

One reason you mentioned that a woman shouldn't be coaching is because the men donm't think she should. And that is really probably the biggest draw back any woman coach will have to deal with. And can only be solved by more woman coaching. If all the guys on her team dont think she should be coaching, they wont listen to what she has to say and therefore can't benfit from the coaching. How to make a team of sexist men listen. Sounds like a tough job and I really have no help there.
