My suggestion for high schools... Well atleast east coast is get a quick down on EVERY play - then have a designated free ball play. Let them know basic signals - so you can switch it up without calling a timeout.

This eliminates confusion - and also helps since you probably don't have the passing? (I assume, boys high school never does, or won't have a good enough setter, girls i see just run quicks normally).

An effect quick in an early high school season is DEVISTATION east coast. Second half of the season is when teams know how to block them.
