I agree 100% with everything Chris says here in this post. I too play indoor during the winter while counting the days till beach/2's season starts. This time for me is considered my "off season" during which my goal is to train for doubles.
I wish there were places that you could pratice your 2's game during winter but there is no where has the court time. It wouldn't even have to be a indoor sand court....just to have a court available to play 2 on 2 would be awesome!
During the summer there is a rec. center that lets us have their gym on Fri. nights to play 2's, but there is no air conditioning. We play there anyway, just because we're volleyball obessessed!

I've played indoor 6's now for well over 15 years, and after making the transition to outdoor doubles (sand), I now spend all winter long playing indoor 6's while dreaming of summer's outdoor 2's. And during the summer, I find myself fretting having to go back indoors because the summer game is so much more fun... for me.

my 2 cents.
