I think it depends on your definition of an underhand serve.

Playing beach - I've seen 4 people get bonked in the fast with a skyball that they lost in the sun - or floated with extreme wind.

I've also seen a short underhand barely crawl over the net.

Outdoors it can be a pain if you loose it especially since you cannot take the ball with your hands on the serve receive.


Indoor it's just silly - but if you have a bummed shoulder, or can't get it over any other way - then do what you must.

For now I say - little to no comment, no other answer fits me
