Jeez, a thread about talking....
All my past teams probably hated me for all the talking I do. Sometime I probably dont even make sense.
As for letting other people know, its definately not good to say yours, or you go. I have gotten into the habit of yelling "its good" or "come on".
I actually say "its good" on nearly every ball, I feel it jump-starts the people on the court. After that, someone in a better position to call it, or they person playing the ball can make the decision.
Come on is usually when Im trying to encourage someone to dig up a tip or track down my shank.
Just develop something that comes out quickly and is easy to understand.
