As far as that taping advice goes, forget the three days thing, take the tape off as soon as you are done playing, tape should never be left on for longer than necessary not to mention it stops doing its job well before three days. Also if you have access to an Athletic Trainer, ask them to tape for you, there are far better taping techniques for it. But if not, there is only so much a person can do while taping themselves (unless the are ATs).
