Ascis....

Only since my brother works at olympia sports and I got a heavy discount on them...

Before that any pair of cross trainers did just fine, but I do love my asics..

Why should I? - 08-28-2006, 05:11 PM

Will I get 4" more on my vert? Will they give me better lateral support to prevent ankle rolls?

There are 10 kinds of people in this world. Those who understand binary and those who don't.

Depending on the kinds you get you can get improved protection...

Some have stiffer ankles, most are just lighter and more durable and have better impact for jumping... The kind of motions you do in volleyball

I've heard from girls there are some now - that come with "preworn" type feeling in the ankles - so your active ankles don't cut up the shoes. Where thier previous ones were stiff ankles and were a pain to get right with the actives in them - until the wore down.

The hardest part is finding a non mail order place to get them, so you can try them on and see if you actually like them.

Yeah, I'm huge on my Gel Sensei's I never thought that dropping coin on specialty shoes was a big deal till I talked to some of the high level players at my gym.

I feel like I can jump all day in them! Being my size that says alot!

i don't wear specific vb shoes because of the different sports i play. i play volleyball, basketball, racquetball, table tennis. instead of wearing 4 pairs of sneakers(which i couldn't afford even if i wanted to) for each sport,it's easier for me to just wear a good pair of cross trainers. they have to be new balance or avia. i can't wear nike or reebok sneakers as they hurt my feet. however i have never tried mizuno or asics cross trainers. dex
