After a long indoor season of two league nights an open gym or two and a tournie every other weekend I'm starting to feel it in my joints and I don't feel I've got the same 'pop' I did at the start of the season. My game is definately more technically sound than it has been at any other time.... I just feel like garbage after three or four games. Especially my feet. In fact I ditched my ankle brace just to get my foot more comfort.
Maybe I just need to take better care of myself and I know that being so heavy adds so much additional stress on everything. Ok, well this isn't a thread for suggestions I know what I need to do......... but.....
I think I may have mentioned to you a similar thing a little while ago. Every season once Indoor season starts I feel like a million bucks, having just played on the sand all summer. As the season progresses, I feel like I wear down slowly as well. Usually by April I get the same thing, achy knees, etc. At that point I can't wait to start playing outside, which helps alleviate some of the pounding those hardcourts can dish out.
I don't know. I guess my body is starting to feel a bit beat up. I've certainly been bruiing the crap outta myself lately. But I feel like I am just starting to get on my indoor game. I'm starting to swing pretty good, my timing is getting down. I'm totally excited about getting outside now that it's nice. But I'm finally starting to feel like I can actually play well indoors. Go figure. Well, at least I can say... Yay for spring league. hahaha

They are not as good of friends as sunny weather and a sand court are!
Why do I have the feeling we're going to end up forfeiting some Spring league games in favor of hitting the sand courts. Maybe we'll just have to show up to play indoors already covered in sand.

We rolled on over to cheshire after the spring league to get in some illuminated sand doubles last season. No forfeits necessary. Just do both and then find yourself sucking down a cool slurpee.
