apologies for the moron comment, but your statement was not only sexist but it was the root of stereotypical biggotry. To say something as broad as women should not coach men is rediculous. If you've had a bad male coach, he is just a bad coach. If you have a bad female coach, its because she is a woman. Doesn't sound right to me.
There are just as many, if not more, male coaches who make the same mistakes that you pointed out. The problem is that good women coaches are few and far between. I agree, as of now there are not many women who can effectively coach men's volleyball. But as with everything else, it must begin small and become bigger. Another female coach i know coaches COLLEGE and she is very intense with fitness and having an aggressive mentality.
If you are looking for a coach to give you plyometrics, weight training and conditioning you'd be better off with a personal trainer. Improving your fitness should be your job, not someone else's. Don't you play libero? The defensive minded coach should be something you enjoy.
I'll give you this, it sounds like your coach sucks. Don't bash on nearly half the population because the few you know don't quite live up to par.
By the way, there are more cows in cali than ct. Plus, if no one out here is competition, why is her high school all of a sudden actually good at volleyb
Take care Bobby Riggs
i love it controversy between coach and set. yea yea yea, dex
Hmm biggest mistakes?? Staying home? Well, with the coed reverse that we play in the Yankee tournaments, a woman or man has to touch the ball depending what net it is. And when you arent used to it its tough sometimes remembering who has to get the ball soemtimes!

whether its sixes or doubles, it think the worst mistak a player can make is forgetting that the teams goals are more importamt than his own personal agenda.

What are some of the biggest mistakes a player can make during a game?
I will start with these:
A bad attitude
Whining and complaining
Making excuses
Not listening to the Capitan or coach when they tell needs to be done...
Fooling around
Not moving or chasing the ball
Arguing with other players
Arguing with the coach or caption or even worse the ref!
