When they ask you for date and you say well you're already booked Sun. thru Thurs., but possibly Fri. or Sat. is ok. You don't tell them it's because you're playing volleyball those 5 days and that 3 of them are over an hour away. (And then you think about whether you'd rather miss the pickup on Fri. or Sat. and which play would be less competitive and which night would you be less disappointed to miss...) Volleyballaholics anonymous, here I come.
OMG, This had me laughing all morning. -

I didn't think I would be able to add to the list, it's so perfect.
but.....
When you are up in the morning looking for games in your area, when you don't find them you start looking in the surrounding states and widen your search according.
You know your addicted to volleyball when....
You clear you living room of breakables so you can pepper with your husband
Your cat learns to block and spike from watching you pepper
You're constantly inadvertantly moving your wrist to practice different cut shots (I catch my husband doing this all the time!)
You have warm weather (above 50 degrees here in Phila) on Thanksgiving, Christmas or Easter....and your first thought is.....lets set up the net....2nd though....who is around to play?
Your favorite after-dinner activity is peppering in the back yard!
You wonder...how can friends or family members expect us to attend a BBQ or party on a Sat. in the spring, summer or early fall......it's tournament season, they should know better!!!
- your knees and hips are all banged and scarred up, yet you still come back for more
- you watch "sports skool" hosted by misty may with your volleyball friends even though you know how to do stuff but just wanna see some volleyball action
- you search online for anything volleyball
etc. I can't think of any more! But that's okay...more will come...maybe.
