Due to lack of commitment and interest of potential DII team members the board has decided to not field a DII team this year. We will only be fielding one team, in Divison I. This is a big disappointment for us, since it will hurt us in following years as players graduate. While we do have a seemingly large enough number of players for a second squad - most who claim to be committed have not shown up regularly which makes it hard to plan practices. This could easily follow through to the season where out DI team would be penalized for a DII team not showing up to their scheduled matches. This leaves us with one team in Division I. Due will remain $50 and must be paid this tuesday (tomorrow, 10/24/06) in order to play. The DI team will be run as a varsity squad - the best and most committed will play. This means you must come to practices regularly and compete for your spot on the team. Even if you are the best if you don't show to practice it's hard to defend your spot. All are welcome to stay - hopefully most of you do.
