Results? Commentary? I see BC and BU cleaned house up at UNH. Did BU have Nam setting?

We, Yale, beat Fairfield in the championship match.

Here's how it went, if I remember correctly (I don't have access to the scores/results):

Yale def. Tufts, MIT, NU and lost to Fairfield in pool play.
NU def. Fairfield, and URI and lost to Yale in pool play.
Fairfield def. Yale and URI and lost to NU in pool play.

(Luckily, bc we had an extra match) we got the top seed and Fairfield and NU played a playoff match--otherwise it would have been a three way tie.

Fairfield won the playoff match but then lost to us in the championship.

Also, URI def. Tufts and MIT and lost to Fairfield and NU.

I don't know if MIT and Tufts played--and if so, who won.

I think this is how things look right now (again, not 100% sure):

1. BC 12-0
2. Fairfield 9-2
3. Yale 9-2 (Fairfield has beaten us twice, we've beaten them only once)
4. NU 7-4
5. BU 7-5
6. UMass 6-4
7. URI 6-5
8. UNH 6-5 (URI won head-to-head)

(And obviously those of us in the West division are/were at an advantage because of our less difficult playing schedule)

But I would like to take a moment to quote Peter Clerc from earlier this Fall (taken from the "2008 Season Smack" thread):

--------------------------
Yale?! Are you serious?

I’m sorry everyone, but you at least have to be within the top ten in this league in order to post in this thread....How is this for smack Rene?.... Yale, take notes.

Regionals/League Championships should be fun...
