I guess I knew that Yale is going to Navy. Bob was talking to someone on your team about sharing a bus with you guys.

It will be good to have another team from the NECVL out there.

Pre Season Play - 10-21-2008, 03:28 PM

Hey everyone,

First of all thanks to Matt for carrying out the divison proposal, I was about a half hour late to the meeting because the campus rec supervisor that drove down got lost somehow. I'm glad that it went through and I think it will benefit our league.

Secondly, with the lack of preseason tournaments compared to recent years, we are really looking for tri-matches or feature matches in the coming weeks before the BU invitational. If anyone is interested please let me know here or email me at cmj45@unh.edu. We can host at any time, during the week for the closer teams or can set up a weekend if it might be a farther trip. We can also set up something with travel. If you know of anyone else who would be interested that might not read this forum let them know as well.

Thanks,

Chris Batzinger

No problem on the N/S Proposal...actually I had a teammate in the Boston area already, so that is who I sent to the meeting (I didn't go)...and I think he motioned for it on my behalf.

We can also host tri-matches. If anyone is interested you can contact me at matthew.nehls@yale.edu.

Chris, we would love to find a way to play you all sometime this semester, but we are quite the distance away. If we could find a Boston school or something to host us two, that would be sweet.

Chris and Matt, I'll try to make that happen, provided you guys do not mind playing at our gym.

Not at all...I'd do everything I can to get my team there.

Thanks!

Good. Our gym is pretty.. hmn... sh*tty. The varsity court is awesome, but it normally requires a decade advance notice to secure a spot. Anyway, if you guys are interested, email me at kl@cs.brown.edu to suggest a few dates. I'll make it happen.

Yeah same with us. We would appreciate that a lot. I'm actually from about 20 minutes away from Brown so that'd be ideal for me.
We're free whenever you guys are.

Hey Chris and Matt, so I think Nov 15 is very possible. I already put in a request for 2 courts at both gyms and I'm very confident that I'll get at least one. Give me an OK if you guys are coming for sure.

If you two have any other team you want to invite to make this a 4-way scrimmage, let the person know. We definitely have enough space to accommodate one more team.

Cheers.

Sweet.

I can get all of my starters, minus my libero, there on the 15th, but I have like 4 asian d-specs that can play in his stead. So that looks good from our end.

And I have the email addresses of all the D1 contacts, so I could email any team we wanted as our fourth.

Any preferences UNH or Brown?

And there seems to be a relatively large amount on the line for this scrimmage...Brown wants to prove they are D1 caliber, and Yale and UNH wants to see who is the better team, after much talk about who actually is the better team.

Looking forward to it. And thanks a ton for setting this up, Eric/Brown.

Just an FYI too, for those of you looking for venues ....

I'm hosting another Yankee Men's B level tournament in Woodbridge CT on December 20th. It would be great to see some of you there.
