IMPACT/CAP Certifications - 12-09-2006, 11:25 PM

I just went to the IMPACT Plus certification today and got certified. Anyone else here have it?

I'm also attending the CAP I Course on January 6th and 7th and I'm looking for more information from those that attended a CAP I course.

I'm IMPACT certified, and I was going to get my CAP I as well but couldn't afford it at that point in time. A friend who went said it was ok, not much groundbreaking material to be learned, but I guess its necessary.

At my IMPACT class I watched a video of the CAP III Course that takes place at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado and you actually learn from the National Team coaches and watch the national team players practice. That must be an awesome experience. The trainer went to it and said that the course is a 4 day thing too so you get to know some of the best players in the country and learn from the best coaches.

As a coach with limited experience, I'm hoping to gain a new perspective to the world of Vball coaching by going. It's not neccessary, IMPACT is though for insurance reasons, but I've always thought knowledge was key and the more you watch and learn the more you can formulate a better coaching philosophy.

IMPACT is good for the rest of your life. CAP I needs to be renewed if you don't continue onto CAP II.
