Speaking of east coast vb. Heres a little something that may strike your fancy. And so I'm not accused of volleyball plagarism (because I'm totally trying to use this for my own advantage) this is from an email I received from the guys at No Beach.

Quote:
Less than 3 weeks until the No Beach Volleyball Tournament & Picnic
to benefit the American Red Cross. It's June 23 & 24 at Peckham Park
in Middlefield, CT.

We have several formats (2-on-2, 4-on-4 or 6-on-6) and levels of play
for all abilities. This event is a great combination of competition
and fun. Plus an all day cookout AND home baked goodies.

Bring out your team, organize your coworkers, or on Saturday, just
show up - you can either play 2's or we'll put you on our Rompin'
Refs team.

(Does your company match charitable donations?)

Come play & have fun!
Let others know....forward this on to others, or print and
pass out the attached flyer.
Can we borrow your net?? Let us know.

Our Web site is: No Beach Volleyball Frame

Thank you & hope to see you there!

Dex,

I'm not sure what towns are taking DOWN their nets but I think Bristol just put a bunch more sand courts UP. I haven't been out there but from what I understand they are pretty popular.

JSVBA did indeed shut down after 21 years... You can find what's left of their web page here: JSVBA.com - Jersey Shore Volleyball Association

You can also email the founder, Michael Borga, here: JSVBA@aol.com and he can tell you why he shut down.

JSVBA shutdown... - 06-14-2007, 03:07 PM

So I shot an email off to JSVBA...

And I was not "quite" as motivated to continue as I was 20 years ago. So, in essence, you are both right :-)

I might change my mind in the future though, one never knows!
