Talking Its me AGAIN! - 05-26-2006, 02:12 AM

Hola Everyone!!
Ok, I dont know if you read my intro post, but if you did you probably didnt like it since It didnt get as much response as I expected!!! . Or probably there is just not enough people who know about this site where I live. Anyhow I just need to shout out loud, I am loooking to play volleyball, help me out here!!!

Like I said in the intro I live in Pembroke Pines, Fl which is close to eveything in southeast florida. Its close to the Sawgrass Mall in Sunrise, close, to the Proplayer Stadium where the Florida Marlins play, and close to the beach!!!

I am not only interested in finding partners to play beach 3's or 4's but also on finding a partner to play 2's. I am a BB player, male, hispanic, 20 yr old (I think my username says it all (Latinobeachboy) just over 5'11" been playing pick up beach since June 05, That was my HS graduation, and would like to start playing on a more competitive and regular basis . I specially want to play in several tournaments this upcoming beach volleyball season. Maybe I may find a nice girl at the beach, who knows

So if you or anyone you know lives in the area from Miami Gradens all the way to Coral Springs, dont hesistate on contacting me, I wanna play beach volleyball!

One more thing: I am also planning on Joinning a beach volleyball club in June, and I would like to see if there is more people who would like to join, But the thing is that is all the way up in Lake Worth, in Palm Beach county, so there is travel involved if you live down here, and riding the train, or driving (not to mention gas prices) there by myself is kind of boring. But its only twice a week.

Almost forgot, Yes I know my thread starers are long, but please (BEAR) with me! I am also very interested in playing college, or club level indoor volleyball, so if you know of any schools or clubs around here please tell me about it!!!

Ok, thats all for now, and hey, after all this, you cant just click away, so RESPOND lol,

BYE!

Play your best VB, but enjoy and have tons of fun!!

Your in florida?

Throw a stone - you should hit a college with atleast a competative club.

I know I've seen UMiami play a few times and there are always other teams at nationals from florida.

What year are you now? Still in high school?

I graduated last year 05 and UM is my top choice right now, I really wanna go there. In fact I was just browsing through their site and found out about a lot of cool stuff they have and that got me even more interested. Today I am calling them to see if I still have a chance at their summer term, or fall tern, Hope I can make it to the fall term. Plus I need to also get scholarships or grants cause thats an expensive school. It'd be nice if I got like a volleyball scholarship or something. oK Keep in touch!

Volleyball scholarships are extremely hard to get, kid. Pepperdine is only allowed to give out 4 per year. If you're going to get a scholarship in Florida, you better lead the team to a national championship.

Not to mention be very competative. I don't know if they have a varsity team (i'd assume they do) - I know they fielded two teams at nationals, both very competative.

Clubs don't give out scholarships - you pay them to play. So you'd looking at trying to beat out a lot of people.

Thanks for letting me know that, it will only help me glorify my Lord even more when I do get that scholarship!!!!! Because I really want to attend and play at that school, God himself has told me in many ways about it.
I have faith, and have confidence that by the time I apply and get into it my volleyball skills will be above the requierements and I will be the one saying it was all thanks to HIM.

For now I will do my part to get there and leave the rest to the man.
