So you thought that the ball you were about the throwaway could go right in the trash? This is the ball that has served you to victory numerous times. The ball that never once asked was for anything other then to be played with. Therefore before you carelessly toss the ball into the trash or kick it into the bushes, think, this is the ball you carried around in your car, back pack and even into your home or office for months if not years, your volleyball never said it was to cold, mentioned BTW it's raining...... or "you know it's hot out here -- mind getting me out of the sun". Your volleyball has severed you well and you are just going to disrespect it! VBLI CODE - Title 11 Section 1 No disrespect should be shown to a volleyball; the ball should not be dipped to any person or thing. (a) The ball should never lay with it badges facing on down. (b) The ball should never touch water unless playing mud or snow volleyball and in this case the ball should be properly clean afterwords. (c) The ball should never be carried with dirty clothes. (d) The ball should never be used as bedding. (e) The ball should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be, soiled, or damaged in any way. (f) The ball should never be used as a covering for a hole. (g) The ball should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature. (h) The ball should never be place at chest level along with a second ball, while the handler repeats "Look at me", or any reference to female anonymity. (i) The ball should never be place at waste level along with a second ball, while the handler repeats "Look at me", or any reference to male anonymity. (j) The ball, when it is in such condition that it is no longer a fitting emblem for display, should be destroyed in a dignified way, preferably by burning.
