Now that you are all going to meet up in Long Island for Jun 3, take a few minutes and look at where you will all be Oct 14, 2006. I just posted the pictures from Aprill 22 Rocky Point beach volleyball tournament to my website, www.outtatownproductions.com .
Here is the Playa Bonita resort beach and restaurant patio, with a few of our courts set up on the beach. It's happy hour!
I reserve 85 rooms at the Playa Bonita and players book their own rooms from that block. There are ocean front rooms with a single king bed or angled view rooms with 2 queen beds in each that can handle up to 4 people. This is the only cost I really do not have control over. I can have a couple rooms put in my name so you do not have to go through the "sending money order for first night stay deal". I will waive the $125 team entry fee for moderator team. I would have to know for sure mods are coming and get a team spot held in a division for you, since it books up fast the 2 months prior.
Fly into Phoenix and you can stay here at my home and drive down with me. I have to leave early Thursday morning , 2 days before the tournament. It takes quite a while to set up 16 courts, fencing, canopies, and taking many cerveza breaks. It is a 3 1/2 hour drive to Rocky Point from here, and you will be one hour south of the border(90KM).
East coasters would have airfare, and lodging costs only. Of course you may want to eat and drink and buy some junk from the beach vendors, but you would eat and drink if you were home anyway. I'll see what I can do on the lodging costs also.
So how far is Mexico and how many Coronas and limes can we get Strazz to eat & drink. I'll start drawing up the squares for the pool now
I don't think you understand... I have an iron gullet - i'm down for it; I was BRED for eating contests! ahahahahaha
Oh and I've been training with corona's - check this out;
Those are ALL GONE... I only have a little bit of tequilla left...
Outta Town - I'd definitly be in, when we see everyone at long island we can get a more accurate depiction of what level we all are.... Hmmm.... I'm thinking I can sleep ont he beach... I'll just act like a hobo and pass a cup for chili's :-D Either that - or you can use my as slave labor if I can sleep at your place :-D
Edit: After loooking at the site: "Saturday October 14, 2006 is the date for Fall Rocky Point beach volleyball with the theme being "The 70's". All team names must be 2 words or less and be something from that era. Ahh, disco!! Big hair, platform shoes, the Ford Pinto and the AMC Gremlin. We encourage team oufits for this one!!"
Am I allowed to attend? Since I was -16 years old when the theme started? Hhahahahaa... Youngin jokes ahahahah
