Was fun and I'm looking forward to playing some Reverse Co-ed doubles again. Too bad there are so few tourneys left!!

My hubby and I played in a B/BB doubles beach tourney this past Sunday (the 17th) at Bradley Beach, NJ and we won!
It was only our second time playing coed together....in the semis and finals we had to face two teams that beat us pretty good in pool play...the team we beat in the semis, the guy was an A level player and the team we beat in the finals, the guy was a AA level player.

I still can't beleive we pulled it off!

Playing in the volleyball in the park event of course!

Competition was awesome...

Took a few pictures - was to busy being a cracked out volleyball play to do tomany.

Crap loads of people!

Uhh I dunno, I had lots of fun though, so who cares.

Here are some memories I will never forget from this weekend...

NEVER drive 5 guys in a van - at midnight and 4am... It's asking to get a car fumigated (thanks njus)

wiffle ball at 4am in the park

deathball at 4am in the park (hit ball as high as possible and try to set it,
no depth perception is great)

setting up nets in the rain w/ half asleep idiots

getting a rain delay and trying to see how far we can slide ont he grass

playing more wiffle ball and frisbee in the rain

yelling "girl" when someone was hitting the ball - god knows why?

getting peluched twice by some chick when i was going for her dinks

Volleyball in the park last saturday

Competition was great, my partner and I got our butts handed to us by the 2 injured guys from UMASS (great games!) and we did well against the other 2 teams in our class - for it being the first tourney for me and my partner.

There was a lot of people there - something like 140. It was great

Place? 4th... out of 4 teams

It was a great tourney, and I am definately going to be there at the next one. For the amount of teams and players, I thought it was organized exceptionally well - even with the rain delay.

-Going too far on the LIE trying to get back to CT and being dumped in Mid-Town manhattan was a blast too. Nothing like it taking 3 hours to get home from the city!

That sounds oddly familiar... I think I did the exact same thing that day...

Played in a yankee B- tournament with my team.

We were missing one of our main middles (who decided to pass out until 4pm that day aahah) - so we where messing with the line up. I ended up hitting, which was awesome for a change. Put some balls down, jump serve was going in. We only too 3-5 coming in 3rd or 4th in our pool. Whatever it was a fun day and we beat some tough teams, with the others really close.

Can't wait for the same this coming sunday.

Cheetah and I played 2's. We barely made the playoffs. Neither of us was 100% that day, but we kept a scrappy attitude. Somehow we managed to win our last 2 games of the day to get to a Play In. Then we won the Play In game, so we made it to the Playoffs. Then we somehow pulled it out of our A*& and won the semifinals. We lost in the finals to a very deserving pair. We had a fun day

We each got a new volleyball and cool-looking Harley-like T-shirt

Played in the Rolf Anderson Mem. Scramble tourny @ SDVC in Clinton MA. The level was roughly Yankee C it was a great time. Everyone was great to play with. We split most matches (if the TD does their job right that's what will happen right?).

We ended up 3rd and lost the play in to the eventual champions, they had two monsterous C+ guys who were dropping bombs all day. Very tough to block/dig.
