Starting a club - 11-29-2005, 05:01 PM

Hi,

I need all the help and advice i can get, i and a few other individuals are looking into organizing a volleyball club, and i have no idea on how get things off the ground. can anybody out there offer some much needed advice, or refer me to some sites that will be of help. thank you in advance.

What kind of club are you looking to put together? You could just get a squad of people who are similarly ranked and start a team :shrug: or you can do like the Mad Dogs http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze3fzxi/MadDawgs/ (sorry I don't know if the site is http enabled, you might have to cut and paste that). They're an internet based team that places individuals on teams for a given tournament in the Yankee (NERVA) Region. The members sign up and the organizer tries to put together the best team first, and other teams from there.

I was thinking about starting a local club, there are a bunch of us who are playing for an unnamed club now. We are a little disappointed about the current org. Our parents wanted to know about starting new. I've received a few emails already seems we can do it but it may be easier to join another.... Once I have all the information I will post it I promise.
