Right before the game I like to practice a few serves, Hit a few, and pepper with a teammate. I also like to get loose mentally as well. I play much better while relaxed and with nothing else but volleyball to focus on. I get to the gym early to allow for a nice long warmup which provides a nice long buffer between the aggravation of the workday, and the volleyball game about to be played. I am not too happy if I am running late and get a 5 minute warm up, or none at all.

I stretch while watching the other team warm up. It's one of the best times to determine player strengths and weakness. I do this while listening to Prodigy on my iPod.

Crank some tunes, drink some more fluids, strech and do some setting...

New stuff to listen to - just due to thier epiciness in sound (and that their songs are so long they last an entire warm up)

Hmm, not feeling Dragonforce Timmy! But goody for you they're playing in Boston on Saturday

Since I've started organizing and captaining my own teams I've been doing alot of making lineup cards and talking through rotations/plays before games. I like a nice long pepper if I can. I usually hit the can too Gotta make sure I've got the least gravity possible LOL!

What Do You Do Right Before The Game?

All too often we have a pre-game ritual, it could be peppering in front the opposite gender or just watching another game.

Pre-game. - 08-16-2007, 11:19 AM

Ride to the tourney 90 plus on my sportsbike...that always gets me cranking.

Nerve racking but fun. Found a girl in Springfield maybe a potential doubles partner she rides a Ninja. She is 33 anad I am 29 we should be a good match.

So when you get to the tourney you just whip off your jeans underneath sports shorts.

I have these great boy shorts from VS they are perfect for outdoor tourneys!
