What's your injury story???

....I was playing the best game of my life, i was saving and setting everything even got a few kills, all my jump serves were perfect, and then i landed on a girl on my team no less and rolled/sprained my ankle. then had some kid saying "oooh it's broken" needless to say i almost hop'd over and beat his ass...

mind you this was my last away game with only one game left in the season, my senior night, i went through classes for two days and played my senior night with a *kankle*...

We were in the quarter-finals for our championships this year playing against a good team. We were playing extremely well, I was setting.

I was also helping my middle blocking on the quicks - we both got deaked out by the setter, I landed faster than him since I jumped earlier - and did a quick sidestep and jumped (floating to the side, not planted). This was a bad idea - I got a soft block on the ball but knew i was coming down on my ankle. I tried to pull my leg out so i'd just land on my ass - but probably only made it worse. Heard a nice crunch as i feel only on my right ankle.

Continued to finish the play - I really dunno how it happened, I remember my libero saying "GET UP GET UP GET UP" and then the ball was a PERFECT pass, for a quick in the middle and we got the point.

We called a quick time out and i took off my shoe and immediately just taped up my ankle. The libero grabbed an active ankle and i slapped that on too. Tightened my shoe as much as possible and went back onto the court. Won the game, lost in the semi's in 3 kind of because we lost all our momentum...

Then went onto nationals were I was wheeled to the court, then played with 2 rolls of tape and an active ankle on. Only to be wheeled off the court after the game... It was priceless to see the looks on peoples faces.

Now I have a nice "clicking" noise from my ankle and will forever have to tape it up lol
