There's alot of talk about games and tournaments that are about to be played. Let's talk about the game or the tournament. Feel free to take whatever artistic license you want! Tell us where when and why you were playing and why it's so significant to you. We want all the dramatic details

I played in a tournament recently and it was my first time ever playing a game where I was NOT setting (either 5-1 or 6-2). Basically it was the most fun I've ever had playing volleyball. I ended up with 2 hitting errors all day(blocked once and missed the line by about 3 inches once) while racking up kills at the OH. Since the tournament I've been getting calls to sub in on league teams and such. Makes me want to quit setting.

This past weekend at Johnson and Wales University was probably one of the most fun tournaments I've ever played in.

Everyone was extremely intense (but not a jerk about it) and played extremely hard. We had a VERY scrappy defense that got almost everything up. Not only was nearly every ball up, however I was able to jump set nearly every ball from the same spot barely off the net. This allowed me to give my hitters a 1v1 block nearly everytime - a few times they even got no blockers ahah!

My libero was amazing and just touched everything, completely sacrificing the body. Not only that but there where some nasty hits that we touched, and people LAID out for them, and we got them back over. Good stuff!

Here in Illinois we have the Luau held by Spike Volleyball. It's basically a huge drinking festival/grass tourney. All the great volleyball players in the Chicago area are there. It's a blast. Beer truck pulls up and starts serving around 9am and then there is a post party afterwards. It's just a great time to reacquaint myself with some friends I no longer see since moving to the city and stopped playing USAV.
