Are there really rules that players follow that are not manidtory?
So the question is, are there rules you or a teammates follow that are not "Officaly" documented? |
Call the ball... Call EVERY ball - in, out, mine, short - just do it.
When in doubt, play it out.
Serve IN.
- Serve to the weakest link
- Don't be an ******* about it depending on situation
If someone isn't covering thier court, point it out - kindly.
- If they don't respond, steal the ball
Call for your set, let them know your ready
- For a setter, don't set someone if they arn't telling you thier ready
Call yourself - net violations, carrier, etc.
- Don't bitch about people not calling themselves, merly mention "call yourself buddy".
Let the ref make all final decisions - it sucks when the refs getting polled by 12+ people.
Play your game.
At the end of the game, it's over, leave what happened on the court - on the court.
Like the line from the pirate movie... There not really rules, just a guideline (or somehting like that). No you don't have to follow them, but it's nice if you do, and you'll find yourself enjoying the game more, and meeting more friends.
They arn't rules for a reason - you don't need to follow them. It's also not the law to be nice to people, but most people chose to be. What kind of person are you?
