My accord is now a Accordion. - 01-20-2008, 09:41 AM

My Accord is now a Accordion. The Airbag never deployed that is most likely how I injured my shoulder.

Well hey at least I still have my motorcycle but will not be able to ride it until the Spring (MAYBE)? Oh well by that time hopefully will be able to play V-ball again.

These are some pictures of how I was rear ended by a person from NH. That merge in Hartford is awful.

At least my car is not stolen this time! Could you imagine having your car stolen and on crutches? I only had one crutch!

It just stinks dealing with Insurance companies. Getting around is so much fun one handed.

Oh well at least I am borrowing a friends Beamer though driving in a sling is not fun.

um, this is embarassing.

this past season i played with a busted up pinky toe. i had accidentally banged into my bedframe and it basically split my toe off from the rest of the foot... blood everywhere... grossness... i was wearing one of those lame-o booties to class but just taping that thing up like crazy so i could keep playing.

it hurt like a mother...

My ACCORDION! I loved that car.

You know what the worst part is you get in the end and hey it is for sure a real pain in the neck.

Try sleeping on your right side all the time and have a fractured collar bone with a Torn Rotary Cuff.

OH my bruises.

I just wish I was not out for this Winter playing it sucks.

Benefit tournaments for my skiers - 01-27-2008, 12:16 AM

Here's what is left of my second bus of skiers returning from Telluride on Jan 7th. I lost 9 friends and saw the most horrific things when we arrived at the scene.

We'll be donating all raffle income at every volleyball tournament to the Telluride Ski Bus Fund. We have done one benefit non-formatted volleyball picnic so far, and will do more in the upcoming months.

Accidents make you see things differently. - 01-27-2008, 11:53 AM

Accidents seem to leave us with a new appreciation of our lives.

When sitting in Physical Therapy you see a lot of people in pain that are healing from something. They also have a lot of stories behind their injuries.
I think your actions to do the fund raising a wonderful thing for you to do!

The lady that hit me did not even try to say she was sorry for hitting me.

When you do indecencies to people and it hurts them it makes me wonder if the people causing the pain get any pleasure out of it?

I have a sibling that is disabled due to a Tractor accident where his limbs were detached from his body. I was 17 at the time. He was 21. At the time I was only working two miles down the road from where it happened that day. Our community had to pull together to help with proceeds for my brother.
The experience taught me one thing. When people have to bond together to make something it is totally possible.

All my life I have appreciated him and he has always looked after me and my sister. Siblings are a blessing. :yes

In fact they would always get everything I have if I did die at least they would have been set.

Though a cat always has nine lives!

I don't have a worst injury. I just try to compound on as many as I can when I play. Currently, three pulled muscles, one torn rotator cuff, funky knee, and stupid toes. Oh and my head hurts a bit after smashing it into the floor last night while trying to pancake. ow.

Every now and then I feel like I'm playing with my head up my ass but that's not so much of an injury...

Ouch - 02-06-2008, 12:36 PM

My elbow almost blew out last Thursday during the final points of Game 3. I could only backset to the Opp; anything else caused excruciating pain. It felt like my elbow was swollen to 3x its normal size.

I libero-ed in a B/BB this Saturday and it didn't seem to bother me that much. It's still kinda sore and putting pressure on it causes extra pain, so it looks like I won't be running any offenses for a while. Guess I'll have to stick to being an OH for a bit.
