Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach. Department of Athletics and Recreational Sports. Full-time (12 months. Responsibilities: Saint Mary’s College sponsors 15 intercollegiate sports for men and women and is a member of NCAA Division I and the West Coast Conference. Assist with all aspects of NCAA Division I women’s volleyball program, including student recruitment and development, on-court coaching, contest scheduling, budget management, compliance with NCAA, Conference, and College rules and regulations, student-athlete academic achievement, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Additionally, the incumbent must maintain collaborative working relationships with administrators and coaches in the department, other college offices, and appropriate relationships with members of the media, donors, and other individuals interested in the women’s volleyball program. Qualifications: The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree, ability to identify and attract outstanding students to the College, and ability to relate effectively with various constituent groups. Candidates must have a clear understanding of NCAA rules and the roles of athletics within a private, liberal arts academic setting. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a diverse group of people. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Preference will be granted to candidates with college coaching experience. Master’s degree and additional years of coaching experience preferred. Cal State University, Fullerton seeks applicants for the position of women's assistant volleyball coach (12 month position). This person will assist with coaching a highly competitive women's volleyball program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference. The State University of New York College at Cortland, a member of the NCAA Division III competing in the SUNYAC, is seeking applicants for a full-time, ten month position of Head Women's Volleyball Coach. Position entails performing head coaching duties with additional responsibilities in teaching and advisement within the physical education department. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in physical education or a related field and a master's degree within three years of appointment or a master's degree in physical education or a related field. Previous successful college coaching experience preferably at the NCAA Division III level required. Salary: $40,000 plus competitive benefit package. Anticipated starting date is August 15, 2005.
