I have them everywhere! In the trunks of my cars, in the house at work, simply everywhere!

My old balls.... - 12-08-2005, 10:44 PM

The box in the garage has 15 in it, and there are 4 more here in my office. Most are old outdoor balls , Spalding 18's and traditional Wilson AVP Golds. Got a few Tach's for indoors, too.

Playing til I die,

Would this include the ones I left all over god knows where? I'm very forgetfull!

I play in open gyms, bring one to warm up with. Not a real good/expensive one for obvious reasons. But if they get too old/beat up (This doesnt often happen, as usually by then it's left somewhere, along with beach chairs left at kid's soccer games.) I chuck it and get a new one.

Basicly keep a couple decent ones, one in trunk of car, on the theory of you never know when a VB game will break out, and another at home as a replacement for when.. *cough* IF I lose the one in trunk..

Indoor:
New unused Tachikara SV5W in the closet, game ball in my bag, discarded Mikasa Olympic ball for drills and an old Tachikara for warm-ups in my cargo net.

Outdoor:
Spalding TopFlite on the floor of my garage with a year-old Mikasa Beach Champ that doesn't hold air anymore, AVP game ball in my bag. I also have some vintage balls in my closet that I'll donate to a volleyball museum someday if one ever gets started.

Total: 7 (plus a Tachikara felt-covered one I won many, many years ago that I keep for trophy purposes and will never see a court)

I have one and yet I never take it out. It's funny, everywhere I play has a better ball or preferred ball. I'm always afraid of losing my new ball.

Am I alone in this feeling?

Lets see....

2 where in my car, until the winter came - now there in my house. 4 more in the house, 2 left at my old girlfriends house. 6 in my dorm room and one setter ball on my lap...

Is 14 to many?

Most molton - a few were 'stragglers' left behind at tournaments and what not.
