There are many different formats of volleyball, 2's 4's 6's Co-ed, Reverse Co-ed Indoor, Sand, Grass, Snow, Mud. What do you like to play, and why?

Doesn't really matter, as long as I'm playing...

However I'd rather play doubles - reverse coed is fun too... Beach is my favorite, then grass, then indoors.

I agree give me a ball, an appointent and I'm all over it!

My only complaint is teamates not at my level. If someone is lower skill level it's fustrating.

It's Doesn't Matter, I Want To Play! Seriously, I'm even good peppering with a good player, even doing drilling.

Well, i'm going to be picky and say that I only play indoor. It's a shame that we have mandatory practice on the beach, though...hard life...I know..

What I tend to find frustrating is when I join a league or play in a tournament and people don't appropriately rate themselves. So I find myself playing in a AA league - where no ones blocking me. Thats not good - I'm a setter, I should be putting the ball down in the 10' line in a league thats AA!

Same with tournaments, I'd play AA or A for a men's. I wouldn't expect to win, maybe in A. If I'm sweaping games (and there is no block) in AA thats not good!

If I go into something knowning I'm not going to have a good team - and what the level is. I don't really get frustrated. If I wanted good competition I wouldn't play BB - so how can I get mad about playing BB people?

I'm in line with the rest of you for the most part... give me a ball and I'll run drills with a buddy. Other than that I like to play on any surface. However, doubles on sand is my favorite, followed by grass and then indoors, and then teams.

I think the reason I enjoy doubles more is the fact that I know who my team mate is, I expect them to hustle, and I expect them to play aggresively (and I assume they expect the same of me). Sometimes in a team situation (pick up games + rec play) you don't know what your are going to get, and sometimes people come out and play just to do it - not because they want to or because they want to improve... and that is daunting to me to have to endure for a night.
