2007 Summer Beach Volleyball Season

Listed below is info about how to register a team for EEVB's 2007 Summer Beach Volleyball Season. PLEASE TELL ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS WHO EVER WANTED TO JOIN. We are forming teams of all levels and can place single players on teams.

New for 2007:
· AVPNext memberships:
o Must be done online to get the $10 annual membership fee. Any applications handed in directly to EEVB will be charged $15 per player. Go to www.avp.com/volleyball_nation/avpnext/membership.jsp to sign up.
· Forfeit Policy: We will not be taking forfeit fee checks this season. Any team that forfeits will be removed from the schedule and will have to pay a reinstatement fee to get back on the schedule, $20 for the 1st forfeit, $30 for the 2nd forfeit
o Forfeits were a problem in some divisions last year. It is not fair to forfeit because it ruins the playing time for other teams. You can avoid a forfeit by having at least 2 players show up and play (must be 1 male & 1 female if in a coed division, any 2 in other divisions)
· We will be hosting some sign-up parties before the season starts. Dates and times will be announced.
· After Play Parties: We hope everyone will come join us for after play parties at local hotspots. In long Beach we will be going to The Inn, The Saloon, Minnesota's & The Tiki Bar. Cedar Bach will go to Zoink's and The Bach Hut. E. Quogue will go to Buckley's In Between. Complete details will be listed online at the after play party schedule for each site.
· Schedules for Long Beach and Cedar beach will be posted Monday mornings. You will know before you get to the beach where you will be playing.
· A high level Junior program will be offered in Long Beach on Wednesdays. It will be limited to 20 players and will be geared towards developing already skilled players into beach volleyball doubles tournament level players. All Junior info is available online at Junior Programs including info about a beginner level program. Why not bring your child of the neighbor's child to the Junior league every Tuesday night to play alongside the adult league.
· We may have limited courts on some nights. I strongly suggest pre-registering to insure you get to play on the night of your choice.
Single Players: Post a message on the EEVB Bulletin Board listing:
· Your contact info
· Brief description about your playing level (we have a level for everybody. Be honest about your level and you should end up on the proper team)
· If you want to increase your chances start contacting other singles on the bulletin board and start your own team

How to Register: 4 steps to register your team
1.Fill out Roster and email to eevb@i-2000.com : Click to download Roster in Microsoft Word format. (We suggest that you email it around to each player on your roster for them to fill out their info. Then save it to your computer before emailing it to EEVB)
2.Determine your team Entry Fee:

SPECIAL LEAGUE FEE: All teams that pre-register by 5/1 and pay by 5/15 for Thursday night at Cedar Beach will only be charged ½ price ($100 2-night discount does not count with this discount)
·Fees based on 3 players for 2s, 5 players for 3s & 4s, and 10 players for 6s; ADD $20/additional player + $10 AVPNext membership. Fee includes league play, championship tournament, & prizes
·ANY C6 OR R6 TEAM THAT PLAYS 2 OR MORE NIGHTS WILL RECEIVE A $100 DISCOUNT ON THE ADDITIONAL ENTRY FEES

4.AVPNext Memberships (Required for all players): $10/player if done online, $15 if done at the beach. Membership covers 1 calendar year from 1/1 to 12/31, Click for AVPNext online registration; then include your new membership # on the roster
