Hi Friends - From Long Island - 08-09-2007, 02:05 AM

Hey Everyone,

I found this website after much "surfing" to find a place to play volleyball. Im not sure how this site works, but Im slowly learning. I wanted to play volleyball, but dont have a team... is there a group I can join? Possibly 6's?

Im not sure of my skill level, but I would say it is intermediate B. I love to play but none of my friends are interested in playing.

Maybe someone can help me out and point me in the right direction. Also I already checked Bethpage Sportime, and their fees are a bit high for me (college student) =).

Thanks In Advance, and Cool Site.

You can try a few places:

Locust Village Middle/High School has a league 50/per player the play is solid but not as high as Sportime or EEVB.

Lyndenhurst H.S. has an Adult ed program which is on 40/per player fun but not competitive. A good starting ground.

If your looking to get on tourney teams and or play on a league team EEVB and Sportime are your best bets. EEVB is more reasonable in price. However Sportime only runs events in Hicksville and EEVB tends to have events a bit more east in the winter. Still their both great groups.

Hope this helps....
