Turner and Wilson are already big. You should've listed Sara Stratton or Dianne Denecochea. If Mason and Kessy are partnered for 2006, they could be in a few finals, too.

We've added the additional four players.

Jen Kessy is the next big star - 01-04-2006, 02:03 AM

Looks like Jen will have to become the next big beach volleyball star without Holly. I think she can do it. She has obviously benefited from being with Holly but I think she doesnt NEED her.I met her in Chicago and she is AWESOME both personally and professionally. Truthfully, I know this probably wont happen but Id really like to see her partnered up with Rachel Wacholder like in the Las Vegas Shootout. I have heard EY and Rachel are at least considering partnering with other people. Rachel does not like the way EY treats her apparently. Well I guess time will tell. Anyway I guess its my obligation as a Jen Kessy Fan to say JEN KESSY ROCKS!!!!

From what I've seen of Jen, her biggest problem is her setting, whether hand-setting or bumpsetting. She kept putting Holly in a telephone booth at the net (in Chicago? Whichever match they were in that was aired) and it looked like Rachel was having trouble judging Jen's placement in Vegas (which might have been affected by the wind). Jen would also benefit from having a partner that could handle some of the blocking responsibilities and allow her to hit more.

She and Nancy seemed to have done well in their first tournament on the FIVB tour. They could be a team to watch in 2006. The real mixer in the whole equation is how well JJJ and Davis come back from maternity leave. That's going to affect several teams trying to battle for the #3 and 4 spots: Turner/Wilson, Marins/Manillo, JJJ/Davis, Kessy/Mason, the Chinese duo, and of course Branaugh and her partner.
