There is a new sports complex, Dr. Johns, in Cedar Park just off Bagdad and New Hope (NW of 183 and 1431) back behind the 24/7 there. The street address is 1800 Clover Lane, Cedar Park, TX 78630 - (512)259-7545. I went in to ask about leagues, and the guy running the place, Dr. John, is trying to get this going there. He is going to have open gym for Volleyball on Monday nights from 7-9 pm. There are 2 full-sized courts there. For the month of May, he isn't going to charge for the open gym (FREE IS GOOD). After May, it will be $5 a night. If you are able, come and check it out. If a different night is better for more people, we may be able to get him to switch it to a different night depending on what is scheduled. I think he is charging $200/team for leagues - I'm not sure if he has a night set aside for that or not. Anyway, if you are interested, come and play and pass this on to any other Volleyballers, especially in the Austin NW/Cedar Park/Leander area. -vbcanuck |
