03-17-2006 -> 03-19-2006 CAI / Easter Seals Volleyball Challenge - 01-29-2006, 08:25 PM

Please join CAI and Easter Seals in celebrating their 25th year of
the Volleyball Challenge!

The event is Easter Seals' signature fundraiser and is being held on
March 17-19, 2006. We have set a goal of 200 teams and plan to
raise $275,000.

Over the past 5 years, we have been able to raise over $1 million for
Easter Seals, and last year we raised over $217,000 and had over 130
teams participate from Large and Small Businesses, schools,
government groups, clubs and leagues throughout Delaware and
Maryland's Eastern Shore.

The Challenge is spread over a weekend, with each team (consists of 6-
10 players) playing 90 minutes (there is really no championship "ladder" or multiple games). It's supported with fun things during the weekend; like music, prizes, and raffles. This is not a championship competition in the truest sense, just an opportunity to support a great cause while having a little fun (although some rivalries have materialized over the years). The
tournament though can and will support more competitive teams, by
having them play together in the same timeslot.

If you or your club/league/group are interested in putting together a
team, please conatct Carolyn Moloney at (302) 324-4444 x2068 or
cmoloney@esdel.org.
