USA Didn't Show Up In Chicago? - 05-29-2006, 10:42 AM

I saw this in a new group is this true?

"I just got back from the USA/Poland game in Chicago. The Americans
never showed up, either on the court or in the stands. We were
completely dominated, we never showed any confidence, and it showed in
the passing. And whatever happened on the court, it was a thousand
times worse in the stands. Except for a single time when a USA chant
started and lasted for all of 4 seconds before being drowned out by
whistles and a counter chant of Polska, the American fans were dead
silent. My 3 year old son was chearing on team Poland, because that
was when everyone else was cheering. He already thinks he knows more
than I, how could I possibly convince him otherwise when everyone else
is cheering on every point by team Poland. "

Anyone?

No more cast, no more crutches, no more wheel chair, and yes more volleyball!

Mr. Owl, how many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?

Uh, bring him to the men's world league match in Minneapolis? Hmmm.... go to a US soccer game.... ooops... they left for Germany already. I really wanted to go to the game in Hartford yesterday! He's three.... when I was three I liked the Oakland Raiders because they had pirates on their logo. Thank goodness I grew up! Go Blue!

Only two of the USA players had played on the National team roster before. The rest were freshly out of college and one was still in college. They were being given experience at the international level during this exhibition match. Team Poland also did not have a couple of experienced players in attendance as well. No need to worry about the USA women's national team....yet.....
