Very early notice of regional coed charity event June 17th Purdue - 12-23-2005, 10:30 PM

Just to let people know the 20th annual community coed charity volleyball event is scheduled for June 17 th on the grass fields of Purdue university. It is one week earlier this year -perhaps it won't be 94 degrees like last year.

It has two levels - A- open level and B level- with a morning round robin and based on the morning round robin - all teams play in the afternoon.

Last year this event had players from five states ( IN, KY , OH MI and IL) , 4 INDY teams - 3 Fort Wayne and teams from all over the region.

People play in the event with a high level of sportsmanship and for some it is the first coed tournament experience.

So if you run into a player you would like to see play again - or a player you would like to try out - whatever - I give you a reason to let such people know about the event -ask for thier contact information etc. I can email flyers.
I have heard that some single men in Fort Wayne were passing out the flyers to single young women players - with thier contact informtion on the back.

My contact information is Allan Schinckel - aschinck@purdue.edu The event is a charity for Trinity Mission of Lafayette who helps homeless and drug dependent people from several west-central Indiana counties. It is supported by 33 regional churches and private donations.

I have references form people who have played in this event in the past. If you hear the the event has a bad rumored reputation of being a single athlete's social event - number of couples who have met at the event -etc - this is just a rumor(???) . Yes - the last two couples had twins- the next generation of volleyball players have to come from some where-right ?
