New Men's and Women's teams are forming for the new USAV season and many are still looking for players. Hoosier Region Volleyball Association is the Indiana region of USA Volleyball and is the premier volleyball competition in the state. WHAT IS THE HOOSIER VOLLEYBALL REGION VOLLEYBALL / USA VOLLEYBALL (USAV)? Male and female adult volleyball players can participate in the indoor, USA Volleyball (USAV), season for up to six months. The season begins in November and is under the auspices of USAV and the Hoosier Region Volleyball Association (HRVA) Teams can be either all male or female, require a minimum of six players, and they compete in tournaments in Indiana at whatever level of competition is appropriate for the team. The majority of tournaments are held on Saturdays. *USAV is for players who want to play more, compete at a higher level, improve their game, make new friends, and take advantage of what they can learn from competing against other players.* Teams are categorized at the beginning of the season by their skill level. If, through competition, it is evident that they should be playing at a higher or lower level, they can be moved to the appropriate division. Males and females have various divisions (ie A, BB, B) based on level of play. HOW CAN YOU GET INVOLVED? Many men's and women's teams already exist with players from most areas of Indiana. If you are not already affiliated with one of these teams, or if you want to form a new team and play USAV, please try one of the following options: 1. Email kraymer@hoosiervolleyball.org with information about yourself as a player (position, experience, height, etc) or the players/positions that your team is looking for. 2. Place a posting on the region's free player-team matching service, The Players Connection, at www.hoosiervolleyball.org/connection.asp There are countless great players around the state, we just need to help you all find each other! Thanks! Read more about USAV competition online at: www.hooiservolleyball.org | | | | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
