Andover Pumas girls Junior Olympic club is looking for coaches for the next season - 11-08-2005, 09:26 PM

The Andover Pumas girls Junior Olympic club is looking for coaches for the upcoming season. Interest in New England JO is growing (191 teams in '04, 225 teams in '05), but we need more coaches to continue the growth. If you're a player but you've never coached, we'll train you.

All you need is enthusiasm and the right temperament. So please consider how rewarding an experience this can be, and the benefit you can give to the sport of volleyball to help these girls develop as players.

The season runs from January 7 through May 7. Practices are for 2 ½ hours each Saturday morning in Tewksbury MA, and there are five Sunday tournaments. Both head coaches and assistants are needed, and the age group is somewhat flexible – we support 12's through 18's. Ideally you could make all practices and tournaments, but in reality, making 2/3 or more is acceptable with two coaches per team. Our coaching staff is currently all volunteers to keep the girls' fees low, but if salary and/or expenses are important to you we may be able to negotiate something for a head coach.

If you are interested or want more information, please email: steve@andovervolleyball.org.
