Publicist

New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC)

The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), a 10-member
NCAA Division III Athletic Conference, is now accepting applications for the
position of Conference Publicist. The desired start date for this part-time
9-month position is September 1, 2006.

The Publicist will assist the Executive Director with all aspects of NEWMAC
public relations and some administrative responsibilities. Primary
responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining the conference
website; writing and disseminating press releases; publishing and submitting
score reports, standings and statistics to conference constituents, media
outlets, and the NCAA; updating conference directories; developing
championship programs; maintaining conference archives; and assisting with
conference meetings. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree; strong
communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on writing and
collaboration; excellent technical and organizational skills. Salary:
$12,000.

A review of applications will begin immediately and continue until a
successful candidate is identified. Interested applicants should forward a
